The Two!Ears Summer School will be organized into 5 full days, from Monday September 21 to Friday September 25.  A special emphasis will be given to programming exercices in between talks, so as to put theory into practice.  The event will be concluded by a challenge.  Each team of delegates will be provided a robot equipped with a binaural head and a laptop (operating system, middleware, basic functional modules for locomotion, navigation, audio streaming, etc.)  The aim will be to enable the robot to perform a list of milestones in a small-scale environment, whose sequencing enable the fulfillment of the challenge.

The 3.5 days will consist in an interweave of lectures addressing various aspects of active machine hearing, with related practical exercises. Delegates will have to bring their own laptops, ideally with MATLAB installed (respecting the legal rules).  Then, dedicated slots will be programmed to get familiar with the robot and embedded hardware/software.

The last 1.5 days will be fully dedicated to the challenge.  Each team will optimize the software used during the first days in order to address more ambitious real-life scenarios.
